Incentives and credits for legal entities

The Eco Fund enables favorable financing of Devices for the production of electricity from renewable energy sources :

  • The interest rate is three-month EURIBOR + at least 1.3%,
  • The repayment period is a maximum of 15 years,
  • The right to credit can be granted up to 85% of recognized investment costs, the maximum credit amount is EUR 2,000,000.00, and the minimum credit amount is EUR 25,000.00. In addition, the borrower's total indebtedness to the Eco Fund may not exceed EUR 10,000,000.00.
  • The granted credit must be adequately insured.

Non-refundable financial incentives for devices for self-supply of electricity and for devices for self-supply of electricity with battery electricity storage are also available to small business customers.

The amount of non-refundable financial incentive amounts to:

500 EUR for 1 kW of installed nominal electric power of a device for self-sufficency of electricity with battery electricity storage, but not more than 25% of the eligible investment costs, whereby the battery must have 70% of the nominal power of the power plant.

50 EUR for 1 kW of installed nominal electrical power of a device for self-sufficency of electricity without battery storage of electricity, but no more than 25% of eligible investment costs;

for a maximum of 80% of the sum of the connection power of the take-off points.

Incentives for heat pumps

The Eco Fund offers non-refundable financial incentives to natural persons for using renewable energy sources and greater energy efficiency of buildings in the entire territory of the Republic of Slovenia. For example, the right to a non-refundable financial incentive for a heat pump is granted for a new investment.

The right to a non-refundable financial incentive is granted for purchasing and installing an electric heat pump for central heating of the building (heat pumps for space heating and four combined heaters with a heat pump; hereinafter: heating heat pump), air/water type. In addition, the right to a non-refundable financial incentive is granted for purchasing and installing one heat pump per apartment.

Recognized costs include the costs of:  purchase and installation of one heating heat pump per apartment;  purchase and installation of a storage tank, water heat collector, and connection to a heat pump;  implementation of the ground collector or wells;  electrical and mechanical installations for the needs of operation and control of the system and start-up of the system, as well as other costs reasonably related to the implementation of the investment.

  • The amount of the non-refundable financial incentive is up to 20% of recognized investment costs, but no more than EUR 1,000 for an air/water type heating heat pump for new buildings.
  • The amount of the non-refundable financial incentive is up to 40% of recognized investment costs, but no more than EUR 2,500 for an air/water type heating heat pump when replacing an old heating device that provides heat to the building's central heating system with a new heat pump in municipal areas where the Air Quality Plan Ordinance has not been adopted.
  • The amount of the non-refundable financial incentive is up to 50% of recognized investment costs, but no more than EUR 3,200 for an air/water type heating heat pump when replacing the old heating device that provides heat to the building's central heating system with a new heat pump in the Municipality of Celje, which has adopted the Ordinance on the Air Quality Plan.
